The morning was very humid, thanks to recent rain. When the humidity goes up, hiking becomes much harder. We managed to get in 5 miles even with a couple of stops to talk to "Viola," a lively, 87 year old hiker whom we met on our last hike at Leita Thompson two days ago. She loves to talk, and we loved to listen. We also stopped to talk to the owner of a beautiful little Basenji. We met him two days ago as well!

Lee took a lot of beautiful flower pictures which I wish we could identify. (Robin Carney would know what they are!) He also took many other pictures which have been added tot he album.
