It was a fast, sweaty hike today, but how impressive that no one lagged behind, even our newbies Ed and Tracey who were on their very first AOC hike today! Virginia also kept up without a problem on her 2nd AOC hike! Impressive!

As usual, the first 20 minutes of the hike were slow as we stopped often for pictures. We even saw Bleau in the creek and stopped for pictures of him. Then, we picked up the pace and hiked fast on a loop around Vickery Creek plus a little side trip to the trail along Hog Waller Creek.

We clocked in about 5.5 miles, which we felt was just fine for this very hot, humid morning. ~ Joyce
