We met at the Powers Island parking lot for introductions and walked over to Cochran Shoals for the distance. As we passe the Cochran Shoals parking lot there were still some spaces open. I was surprised at 9 AM. There were at least three high school track & field teams running from this parking lot. Spaces were initially limited, fortunately as everyone arrived, they left. We took the trail across the swamp zigzagged up and down the hills until we returned to the gravel road and stopped briefly at the Columns Drive parking lot. We returned to the Interstate North parking lot. We went under I285 and crossed the river again. There we went to Powers Island and did the river loop trail returning to the parking lot. We then walked over to the boat ram on Powers Island. Look at the pictures to see all the work that has been done and how nice it is now.
