Starting our hike at 9 am this morning helped. Though it wasn't cool, it was quite bearable. We enjoyed a pause at the dog park to watch a very vocal hound chasing a frisbee, and we took another break at the deck. We had an extra 15 minutes built into the hike, which was good for the route we took. We got in 4.9 miles with over 870 feet of elevation - - a lot of hills today! I think we all worked up a good sweat.
