A splendid hike today at Stone Mountain! The yellow daisies did not disappoint. We did the climb up to where the Cherokee Trail crosses the Walk-up trail, then turned right to take a slow, meandering walk down that part of the Cherokee to fully enjoy the daisies. We were also happy we did this first as the day heated up fast. We continued on the Cherokee through the woods until we veered off to the Songbird Trail and the meadow. Unfortunately, the daisies were past their prime there but the meadow never fails to relax and calm. On our way back we ran into Susan, Frances and Cynthia who were also enjoy the daisies.
