We had a very enjoyable evening hike at Jones Bridge....did about 6.6 miles with about 550 feet of total ascent.   The weather was a perfect partly cloudy spring day...not too hot, and cooled of even more as it went along.  It was a D3 event this time, so we kept a faster pace...about 3.5 mph average....it didn't feel that fast though with so much of the trail being very flat.

We had a strong group, including some who were interested in leading some AOC hikes in the future themselves, and that is always very welcome.   Unfortunately the deer eluded us...the leaves are back on the trees and making it more difficult to spot them.  But it was a good time on the trail and we will do it again, in the next few weeks.
