Today was my 2nd co-lead and David V was kind enough to be my co-lead. He definately made my job much easier.

We had 11 fun friends on the Island Ford hike today.  Everyone new everyone else, so I passed on the introductions.  This was a mostly veteran group. It was a perfect day for hiking.  Sunny, no wind and temps in the 40's. You couldnt ask for more. We hiked just over 6 miles at a 2.6mph pace.  We finished about 10 minutes early, so it worked out great. 

The bad news is that Barbara lost her glasses somewhere near the upper lot.  

The good news is that someone (not in our group) found them and turned them in at the Visitor Center.  People are basically good.

I heard lots of talking and laughing behind me, so I'm thinking everyone had a good time.
