The temperature was a bit chilly, however, once we started moving ang got off the sidewalk by US 41 we warmed up. We hiked from the overflow parking lot to the picnic area where we started the Environmental Trail hiking it in a clockwise direction, we then turned left on the 24 Gun Trail. We followed the 24 Gun Trail to Gilbert Road, turned around until we came to the Environmental Trail. From there we returned to the overflow parking lot. It was Joe and Kathleen’s first time on these trails. We stopped and talked about the trails and the history of this part of the park.

Joe L joined us for his first AOC event and Kathleen R joined us for her ninth event.
