How nice it was to finally get Amy's 200th hike in after we had to cancel her 200th yesterday, due to rain. Amy was so happy to finally accomplish her goal of 100 hikes a year!
Our route today was different thanks to my taking a wrong turn. We hiked 4.5 miles without walking along that difficult creek side to get to the bamboo forest. Instead, we climbed up the two longest, steepest hills in the park! No one complained, and we were grateful to complete the hike with only one minor fall. The trails we took were the best ones for avoiding mud, since we kept to the high ground.
Our small group was perfect for today's jaunt. Congratulations, Amy! ~. Joyce
