The crisp, clear morning was perfect for our hike this morning. I was joined by Linda L and Mark B. While it was chilly, everyone could feel their fingers by the end! We covered 8 miles and about 640 feet of climbing in less than 3 hours. We saw 10 deer, including a group of 3 young males of 4-6 points, and a large heron that even gave us the chance to catch a photo. I managed not to miss two city champion trees, and because the ground was still frozen we didn't encounter mud. A very nice hike.
