How exciting to be introduced to a trail none of us (but Tony) had ever seen . . . and it's an official CRNRA unit! There's no parking lot here, so we parked about a quarter of a mile from the entrance in the Lidl Food Market lot. The park has no entrance sign, so without Tony's guidance, we would never have known it was an actual park unit.

The views of the terrain were great since we could see far in all directions. Once leaves break out on trees, the area will look completely different. Tony had scouted out a route, so we completed the hike just as planned - - 2 hours with just under 5 miles. There are no trail signs or guidance through this unit, so it might be easy to get lost without GPS help.

There are neighborhoods bordering the unit, so local folks are likely the only ones using the trails and paths. We saw a few locals, but we pretty much had the park to ourselves.

A beautiful day for the hike, and Tony was a great guide. ~. Joyce
