Oh, that fickle weather. We got caught in a shower just as the hike started, but as you can see from the photos, we didn't bother to put on rain jackets. We just got wet from the outside in, rather than the inside out! The rain lasted only a half hour, and the trees blocked out most of the rain itself . . . so we were happy to be outside getting some exercise and enjoying each other's company. I was so proud of the group for sticking with the hike and for being such terrific sports about my botched call about the rain.

We were happy to welcome Glenn A. back after many years of absence from the club. He's already got 193 hikes under his belt. Now that he's retired, we'll be seeing a lot more of him.

We skipped the warmup hill today, choosing to hike under the cover of trees right away. No one complained!
