We had a great time on the trail today. All of our hikers looked strong! We decided to add an additional mile to our trip and hiked Kings Trail on Indian Island. (Fellow trip leader Kian proposed the extension to our hike and led us through the island trail. It was a scenic addition! I highly recommend it if you are planning a future trip to Stone Mountain.)  We had three new AOC hikers on the event -- and they did a great job. I hope they will return to the club for future events. 

Stone Mountain's Cherokee trail has a lot to offer. It has a wide variety of scenery (mountain/lake/woods) and is one of my favorite hikes to lead.
