We had a really fun hike at Island Ford this morning.  It started out not so hot, with a nice breeze.  Only near the end did it get really hot.  There were 10 hikers who braved the heat for this hike.  The heat did not stifle  any of the talking and laughing, so I think everyone had a good time. We hiked 6.3 miles at an average pace of 2.8 mph.  Pretty good for the weather.  I have posted pictures that can be accessed by the button above.
