What a nice hike we had today, with the sun mostly staying behind clouds to help keep the temperature down. Doug was our designated male chaperone for the morning, and he did his job well.

We welcomed Nancy, a brand new AOC member, who proved to be a very sociable newcomer. She had no problem staying with the group as we maintained a moderate 2.4 mph speed for the 5 mile trek.

We walked along Sloan Street into the neighborhood on our route back to Vickery Creek. We were surprised to see a deer crossing the road there! ~ Joyce
