Tue, Sep 3 2024 - Mulberry Creek, Chattahoochee, Morgan Falls Dam, and Hyde Farm (View Original Event Details)

I don't think we could have had much better weather for a hike today at Hyde Farm/Mulberry Creek. The temperature was in the 70's the whole time and we had a very nice breeze for almost all of it. The water was very low in the creek, so our multiple crossings were very easy. It seems that there are more trees down across the trail everytime I go there, but we were able to get over/under/around all of them. I changed the route near the end because I was afraid the field at Hyde Farm might be overgrown and uncomfortable to hike through. That shortened the hike by about a half mile, and it turned out that the field had been recently cut. We did get in an extra hill, though. We had 9 good hikers who maintained a consistent pace for a little over 5 miles and 400 feet of elevation gain. I think a good time was had by all.
Here are the photos from Joyce and Lee. Still working on mine.
