Tue, Sep 10 2024 - Bowmans Island (View Original Event Details)
|
We had a small, but lively, group of 4 hikers at Bowmans Island this morning. The weather was perfect, with sunny skies and temperatures in the 70's for the entire hike. We saw a large group of deer consisting of several does with their babies and a buck. We also saw a very fast box turtle. The Joro spider count came in at just over 3 million. We traveled on most all the hill trails and the river trail covering 6.3 miles with 440 feet of elevation in 2 hours 15 minutes.
A special thank you to Joyce for sending the link to her pictures.
