Simpsonwood has some challenges for a TL who doesn't hike there much. With the major construction taking place, the river trail and the road paralleling the river are off limits. We spent most of our time on trails, but also a lot of time trying to find trails. Leaves thick on the ground obscured many minor trails, but despite the challenges, we enjoyed the good weather and got in two good hours of exploration.

We saw several deer and even a buck hot on the trail of a doe. It's that time of year.

It will be nice when the construction on the sewer line is completed. I miss the beautiful river trail. ~ Joyce
