We parked in the field adjacent to the Illinois Monument parking lot. In addition to us we had 49 high school students there. With a larger group than expected, we split into 3 groups. Two (Joyce and Suzanne) of us were in the group working on drainage around the Illinois Monument. After completing this we performed annual maintenance on the Trail going by the Unknown Soldier Memorial and the Knob’s Farm connector Trail. Two (Kirsten and Donna) of us were on the group on the trail going from the parking lot to the Knob’s Farm connector Trail and working on the Knob’s Farm connector Trail. One (Mark) was working on the bridge replacement, and one (Mike) was bouncing between the three groups spending most of his time on the bridge replacement. The annual maintenance groups got everything done. The bridge replacement group ran out of screws and 2” * 4” s before completing the bridge. The bridge will be completed on a later date.
