What a fine day for a hike - - and I'm so glad to be back with this group after my trip to Colorado. These folks can keep up whatever pace I set! I took a wrong turn, which put us overtime by 10 minutes - - which added some unplanned distance. We got in 6.1 miles today!
We welcomed Bill to our Thursday group this morning. He's been hiking with the AOC just 3 weeks, but has now accumulated 13 hikes. He's a competitor! John challenged him on the warmup hill, but Bill put on a sprint that just couldn't be topped. He was first up today!
We think we saw three herons on the river today! I couldn't get a good shot, but perhaps Mike did. (Mike will be adding photos to the album.)
My Thursday group of hikers are THE BEST!!
