Most of our hike was under cloudy skies, with damp trails and humidity from the rain yesterday and last night. Despite the challenge of the trails, everyone remained sure-footed, so we had no slips or falls.

It was very special to have two brand new members on our hike (Pat and Mary) plus three other "newbies" with fewer than 10 hikes (Irina, Gwen, and Stephen). All of them did just great on today's event.

We included a peek at the construction area off the Highway 41 parking lot. The road was blocked off way before we could get a good look at anything, but it's nice to see progress on the new parking area and meadow.
