We met at the picnic area near the Visitor Center parking lot, we walked to the maintenance shop to do the safety briefing, to hear the workday plan, and get our tools. We walked up to the intersection of Kennesaw Mountain Drive and Little Kennesaw Mountain Trail. It was a small group of 6 volunteers plus crew leaders. The workplan had A, B, and C parts depending on how many volunteers and crew leaders attended. We were split into 3 groups. Our group worked on cleaning out the ditch along the part of Kennesaw Mountain Trail following the service road from the left turn going up the mountain than going down until the service road met Kennesaw Mountain Drive.
