We did introductions in the parking lot. The day was cloudy and chilly. We had clouds at the beginning and the end of the hike. We headed to the river and the Visitor Center followed by THE HILL. From there we headed to the lollipop and returned to the parking lot. As we started the lollipop handle a young hawk flew about 30 feet chest high in front of Jan and me.
