It was not an inspiring morning for going out on the trails, but that did not deter three newcomers. Nina, Claire and Keith came out - while it was still raining lightly - to hike a little over five miles at Stone Mountain. I did a couple of re-routes to avoid the larger areas of granite; nevertheless we got in a little bit more distance than originally planned. We also had several unplanned stream crossings. Many areas that had been dry a few days ago had water running. All proved expert at rock hopping (wet rocks at that). Our small number allowed us all to get to find out a little about each other. And I was able to answer a lot of good questions about the club. I look forward to hiking with all of them again. (Hopefully, next time with sunnier and dryer conditions.)
