Lots of sun and little wind made for a wonderful hike with eight wonder women today at Stone Mountain. Trails were in good shape with only some icy patches on the granite that we easily maneuvered around.

On our route around the mountain we AOC women stopped at the Atlanta Women's Pen Garden to look at the interesting stones commemerating these women artists.  We also crossed the covered bridge to hike the Indian Trail as well as the Songbird trail (alas no birds singing). Finally, we hiked through the  Boy Scout pioneer campground on our way back to our cars.

Extra brownie points and a big welcome to Sunny who joined us on this very cold morning for her very first AOC event. She along with all the hikers today demonstrated they are not daunted by low 20s temperatures.

I celebrated my 300th AOC event with eight fabulous hikers (and lots of chocolate). Thanks everyone!
