We met at the picnic area near the Visitor Center parking lot where we were briefed on today’s project reviewed safety procedures, and split into 3 groups. We walked to Camp Brumby to get our tools. Caroline, Pamela, Tim, Mark, and John were assigned to group 2, Joyce was assigned to group 1, and Mike roamed between all 3 groups. Our groups leapfrogged past each other as we went from one area to another. All three groups performed cyclic maintenance on the Camp Brumby Trail starting at Camp Brumby going toward the New Salem Church trail intersection until we ran out of time. Group one went over 2 miles from the Visitor Center before it was time to walk back to the Visitor Center. The good thing about today is that we did not have to carry our tools. A John Deere Gator (UTV) dropped our tools off at Camp Brumby and picked them up from us at our last work location.
