Write Up:16.5 miles, 4300', 2.4 mph average moving pace. Excellent weather, nippy at the start and then layers started coming off. Coosa is long and at times steep; followed by a tough little kick in the pants called Slaughter, and a somewhat easy - if you can call the third leg easy - Blood Mountain. Nobody likes a rocky downhill, but it is the trail down...not all rocky, but enough. Thanks to all for making this a good hike! We missed you Pam.
