What a day! What an amazing celebration! I couldn't have been more overwhelmed or more honored. So many people helped to make today special for me by joining me on my hike, bringing food and drinks for the after-party, surprising me with a huge banner, bringing me gifts and cards, taking photos for me, making a special 3000 rock, and giving me lots of warm, wonderful hugs. A big thank you to everyone who joined me, and who sent me special wishes by texts and emails.

The weather today was perfect as we completed our hike to the boardwalk and onward to the Willeo parking lot before retracing our route. We saw some extensive damage from the recent flood water, but we were also treated to ducks, geese, and a Great Blue heron.

As we returned to the park, we saw a sizeable crowd gathered in one of the two pavilions we secured. The crowd was all the Renegades plus lots of other friends who didn't make the hike but came to the celebration. It was a huge family reunion! How special it was for me to see all of the people who have become good friends thanks to the hikes I (and others) led through the AOC. It was a special gathering, indeed!

Lots of photos were taken. I've added many photos that Lee took, plus some by Rocky and Karsten. Mike C. had too many to add, so he's creating a separate album. The event was well documented.
