Our group of ten adventurers enjoyed near-perfect weather as we hiked a serpentine loop from Springer Mountain to Owens Overlook and onward to Three Forks and Long Creek Falls. Long range mountain views along the BMT were fabulous! And the cascades along Stover, Chestnut, and Long Creeks were delightful. We passed a number of AT through-hikers along the way as we made our way through fir-covered dells and rhododendron tunnels.
