What a great hike we had on this fine March morning! The weather was absolutely perfect, and the group was perfect, too! It was nice to see some members I hadn't seen in a while, and it was great seeing some newer members who were returning for another hike. We even had a brand new member - - Sherry - - a super friendly, smiley young lady. So nice to see Tom, Anne and Shirley returning for their 4th hike.

We took a random route through the park, including a trail that turned out to require a rather steep climb onto the "real" trail. Everyone was a good sport about the challenge, and the rest of the hike was a piece of cake.

The trails at Vickery Creek are badly eroded, but at our moderate pace, everyone was able to navigate the roots and rocks well. No slips, falls or injuries, which made me a happy trip leader. ~ Joyce
