We had a delightful 4.7 mile, moderately paced hike at Sope Creek this morning, with sunny skies, cool temperatures, and a refreshing breeze as we hiked the trails. The woods in Sope Creek are beautiful in some sections - - a contrast to the areas devastated by the Pine Bark Beetles. Fortunately, the fallen, decaying trees will soon be camouflaged by the spring growth of ground cover and leaves.

We welcomed Cheryl into the AOC this morning. Today was her very first hike with the club. And it's almost time to stop noting Tom, who has rapidly gotten 5 events behind him. Oh, and Marge is just about a vet now that she's completed her 9th hike with us.
