We parked at the Illinois Monument parking lot and checked in. We did our safety briefing and an explanation of today’s workplan at the Illinois Monument. In addition to us we had 27 members of the KSU Cross Country Team high, and 6 individual volunteers. We removed the old fence consisting of 52 sections 8’ and 10’lenghts stacked 3 to 4 high with 43 sections of 10’ lengths stacked 5 high. We also debermed two spots and installed 7 new sections to keep visitors form cutting though forcing them to follow the trail.
