We had 10 happy hikers who enjoyed an absolutely perfect day for a hike at Island Ford this morning. It was sunny, in the 50's with hardly any wind at all as we hiked 6.3 miles with 600 feet of elevation averaging 2.7 mph. It was a little chilly when we started, but everyone warmed up quickly on the Lollipop Trail and discarded outer layers when we got back to the upper parking lot before continuing down to the pond and visitor center for the second part of the hike.
