We had a fun and adventurous time on Stone mtn today and would like to think Charlie was looking down on us, and smiling.  And perhaps laughing a bit, during some of the more frustrating and challenging parts of the route that he originally devised. 

The weather was beautiful with lots of sun and some seriously gusty winds, out there on the open, exposed granite.  We also picked up a bagfull of trash that we found along the way, again Charlie's idea.

Well this was a great way to remember our friend, and legendary Trip Leader.  I think i will lead an abbreviated version of this hike again, sometime in the near future.
