The parking lot was full and most of the members parked at the Army Corps of Engineers parking lot. After we did introductions in the Bowmans Island parking lot, we headed toward the Bowmans Island Trail. Zig zagged up the hills for distance and hiked south along the Chattahoochee River. We stopped at Buford Trout Hatchery to look at different size trout . We returned to the parking lot along the river doing another quick loop of the hills also for distance and returned to the parking lot. The bridge across the Chattahoochee River is still closed along with part of the Laurel Ridge Trail. Thus, we only did 6.7 miles, and I lowered this from a D3 to a D2. Several us met for lunch at a picnic table after the hike before heading home.

I would like to thank Shreyas for joining us on his second AOC event, Ayo for her seventh, Pinky for her eight, and Chan for her ninth event. I can’t forget the rest of our group for making them feel welcome.
