Write Up:
Yes it was yet another enjoyable Yonah hike...that mtn just never lets us down.  I think in the group today, we only had one person who had been there before, so it was all brand new to everyone else.   The cool air was very clear today...great visibility and we could see downtown ATL and Stone Mtn in the distance...as well as the various regular N GA mtns as well.

Our side trip to Pink Mtn and back was a lot of fun...we snuck up to the top and tagged the summit and then had to hike brisky back and up most of Yonah again to catch the sunset.  But it all worked out and then ended with some stargazing at the trailhead.  The Milky Way was very visible and even saw a little fireball on the way home...remnants of Comet Hartley...very cool day.
