Write Up:
What a satisfying hike this turned out to be, mostly thanks the weather and wildlife (and the good company of course).  We spotted a couple of deer before even hitting the trail...then a blue heron, and a redheaded woodpecker that Courtney managed to get some great photos of.   Finally when almost back to the cars, we had the treat of watching a hawk eat its lunch..mostly likely some little rodent that was at the wrong place at the wrong time.  But the hawk was focused on that and we were able to get fairly close and take at least a hundred pics..can't wait to see what everyone managed to get and will post them soon. 

Also congratulations to Angela as this was the 200th AOC event that she has attended...only the fifth person in club history to reach that milestone!
