We had a good workout at Sope Creek this afternoon with a very friendly group of AOC members.  We kept the pace fast, covering 4 miles in 1 and 1/4 hours (including breaks to regroup and look at the old paper mill ruins).  We took a couple of Zalik detours through areas where trails were re-routed, but otherwise, we stuck to the main trails throughout the hike, dodging a few bikers and runners along the way.  Thanks, Mark Reffett and Chris Hill (with a helping of Jim Bishop) for keeping the group going in the right direction. This "vet" group handled the trails easily, making the event a total pleasure.  Fritter, as always, was a well-behaved little companion.
