Write Up:We really lucked out and had perfect timing for this one. It just was one of those days with a spectacular sunset and we were at the right place for it...on the top of Stone Mountain with the grand panoramic views. The photos tell most of the story but it was also a very nice unseasonably warm day for mid December..very comfortable on the summit and relatively little wind compared to normal. But definitely a very memorable hike and so good to be up there to watch the sky just exploding with color like it did.
