Write Up:
Our first Sawnee Mt. hike for today was chilly, windy, sunny - - and fast!  We had planned for a brisk 1 hour 45 minute hike, but we were finished in barely 1 1/2 hours.  We rested little, barely stopping to take photos at the top because of the cold wind;  but the view from up there was phenomenal.  This was a record-breaking Saturday for the AOC with 14 events scheduled;  yet we had a nice group of 11 hikers with us at Sawnee.  Welcome to our two brand new AOC members, Diane Bita Minsilli and Sonja McNair.  And another big welcome to two 2nd-event members, Jim Rosenberg and Bonnie Smith.  Thanks to all of you for making our morning on the mountain such a pleasure!
