Our first of 4 hikes on this "once-in-every-four-year" February 29th went beautifully!  Several members dropped the hike because of the threat of rain, but we didn't have a drop. Not only was there no rain, but the temperature was in the 70's, causing all of us to work up a real sweat! The group hiked at a rather fast pace, covering the 5.23 miles in plenty of time to have a snack at the Visitor's Center before the Sweetgum hike.
Our first group included Susan Ferguson, Dee Green (a newcomer to the club), Sunae Kim, Jennifer Nato, Lauren, and Joyce Taaffe.
