Write Up:On this lovely Easter Eve morning our Atlanta Audubon hosts did a bang-up job of helping us enjoy splendid views of hundreds of wild birds as we explored the meadows, forests, and wetlands of the historic 120-year-old park and its adjoining "beltline." Our numerous highlights included:
- A huge Red-tailed Hawk circling directly above us with prey in its beak,
- Red-headed Woodpeckers combing the craggy tops of ancient oaks for tasty insects,
- Colorful migrating Warblers revealing their identities as they flitted through the foliage, and
- Robins and Bluebirds busily building their nests.
