What a perfect little hike to celebrate Susan F.'s 100th AOC event (in just 6 months!). The predicted rain never materialized (it was, after all, Susan's hike!), the temperature was moderate, and the trails were beautiful. We skipped the ruins to spend time on some of the inner, less-traveled trails. It is only on these inner trails that one can find the old chimney, a point of interest in the unit. The mushrooms were in profusion, and the poison ivy lush. Lots of photo opportunities!
After the hike, six of us drove to Smashburger in Sandy Springs to eat lunch and put a nice cap on this special event.
HAPPY 100th, Susan! Thanks for celebrating it with me!
