The air was extremely muggy, but the rain stayed at bay, allowing us to complete the Gold Branch hike by getting wet from just the inside out.  We had an educational episode from Allan, a glimpse of the egret,  and a view of some weird frothy stuff (see the photo).  We welcomed Marcia to the AOC and enjoyed her company as she handily completed her very first AOC event.
