What a nice fall day for a bike ride!  Jean, Allan and I had a great time together during the lovely 16-mile or so round trip from the Arabla Mtn Nature Center to Alexander Lake and back.  Along the way we stopped occasionally to enjoy the scenery and had two different up-close deer sightings.  We hardly needed any lunch after the ride, having feasted on the sweet ripe persimmons that had just fallen from two different trees - one at Panola's Alexander Lake trailhead and the other beside the trail along Brown's Mill Road.  We hope to offer this ride again on a Saturday or Sunday later this fall!  -Charlie, posted 9/26/2012
