We have a new trip leader in the making!  Chad C. inspired this hike, planned it, and did a beautiful job of leading us around downtown Atlanta.  We passed many noteworthy sites as we walked the 4+ mile route around town, ending where we started - - at the Rialto Theater, where - - right across the street - - was the Landmark Diner, the restaurant at which we all hungrily ate an assortment of menu items ranging from burgers and Reubens to Greek and Cobb salads. Seeing downtown Atlanta on foot was a unique experience for the group, and a most enjoyable one!  The only unfortunate note of the evening was returning to the cars to find that Trena's car had been double booted, despite her having put $5 in the proper slot before leaving for the hike.  Lauren and Chad helped to convince the booters not to give Trena the boot :-) - - and they were successful.  All's well that ends well.  It was a great first-event for all of us.
