An awesome dozen at Sandy Creek Nature Center and Sandy Creek Park today.  We covered around 10 miles of trails, ate lunch at the scenic Crow's Nest shelter, had a couple of falls, saw some water birds and mushrooms, and had a grand time.  The gloomy weather from yesterday (that prevented our hike) gave way to blue skies and sunshine.  That was a good thing . . .  we discovered that the Sandy Creek Park is closed on Monday's!  We would have hiked up to a big fence instead of accessing the scenic Crow's Nest camping area (and bathroom) for our lunch break!

Welcome to Doug M. - - a brand new AOC member.  He's an avid hiker, already fit for whatever hike is on the schedule!
