Sat, Mar 2 2013 - Saturday at Serenbe - Part 2 (View Original Event Details)
|
A glorious total of 18 Happy Hikers hit the trails at Serenbe today with many of them logging miles in both Part I and Part II of the hike. The weather was cool and crisp with no rain or snow. Serenbe has miles and miles of wonderful trails… included among the many, many highlights were examining the ruins of an circa 1850 stone dairy barn, visiting the family cemetery of the Condor family, petting a 10 day old lamb, and watching Joyce, Charlie, and others go down the large and fast slide on the children’s playground - we have the pics to prove it!
Of course we broke up our two hikes with a wonderful visit to the Blue Eyed Daisy, who not only produce award winning cupcakes, but also have an excellent lunch menu. All in all, another great day on the trails with a wonderful group of friends both old and new! – A Happy Hiker
P.S. As we had so many hikers who went on both hikes, it seems only fitting to have the same write-up for both events. :-)
