Our group dwindled to 6 by the time we began our hike, but one can't judge a group by its number.  We had a great hike, circling the park twice at a brisk pace. We welcomed a brand new member, Toni, and were happy to get in Nereida's 99th event, despite the drizzle.k We also took a walk to the distant housing units built by Leita for the women she championed, and were invited into the home of Luisa, a kindly old woman who has lived in one of the units for the past 8 years.  She explained that the women who live in the units must be 50 years or older, must be single, and must not have anyone else living in the home.  What a special treat to actually be given a tour of her home!
