What a great, dedicated group of hikers gathered this evening at Island Ford!  They came out despite the rain, ready to tackle the trails.  We took routes throughout the unit, avoiding the lollipop trail because of the wet ground.  Fortunately, the rain didn't last long, and though the trails remained wet, we had great weather for the remainder of the hike.  Unfortunately, two of our group had falls on the slick trail, but the injuries were minor ones.  We welcomed Matt R. into the club - - a gregarious guy who became an immediate friend to all of us.
